Former Cal safety Daniel Scott announced Tuesday that he has accepted an invitation to the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine.

This year’s combine is scheduled to begin on Feb. 27 and run through March 6 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. It’s the key event for draft hopefuls to improve their stock or land themselves on the radars of new teams.

Attendees will arrive to Indy staggered by position groups, with Scott and the defensive backs scheduled to start their activities on Feb. 28. Scott’s on-field workout and the majority of his measurable skills testing are scheduled for March 3, while his bench press is on March 4 before leaving town later that day.

NFL Network will provide the coverage of the event. The full schedule can be found here.

Scott made 49 appearances (28 starts) over his five seasons with the Golden Bears. He ended his career with 207 tackles, seven tackles for loss and a sack, seven interceptions (with one returned for a touchdown), seven pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

He started all 12 games for Cal as a senior this past season while putting up a career-best 85 tackles.

The 2023 NFL Draft runs April 27-29.
