Cal has received a verbal commitment from Seattle (Wash.) Garfield athlete Rahshawn Clark.

The 6-foot, 180-pounder revealed his decision on Wednesday, picking the Golden Bears over Washington, Oregon, Oregon State, Louisville, and Michigan State. Clark is a high-3-star prospect in the industry-generated 247 Composite and one of the top recruits from the state of Washington this cycle.

Cal hosted him on an official visit June 22 — a weekend that has proven plenty successful. Clark is the fourth visitor from that weekend to publicly give his pledge to coach Justin Wilcox.

The evaluators at 247Sports are slightly higher than consensus on Clark. They rate him as a 4-star prospect and the No. 27 athlete in the class. He’s also the No. 7 recruit from the state of Washington.

Clark will be reuniting with his Garfield teammate, EJ Caminong.

As a junior, Clark played corner and wideout. Defensive backs coaches Tre Watson and Terrence Brown took the lead on his recruitment, signaling that he’ll likely start out on the defensive side of the football.

Clark becomes the 10th known commitment for Cal’s 2024 class. You can see his highlight tape below, via Hudl:
