Cal lands commitment from highly-recruited QB in class of 2024
Cal has its quarterback of the future.
The Golden Bears picked up a commitment from 3-star passer EJ Caminong on Tuesday afternoon.

Caminong is a highly-touted prospect in the class of 2024. He’s the No. 590 overall player and the No. 37 quarterback in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 8 player from the state of Washington.
He attends Garfield High School in Seattle, Washington. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds.
Caminong chose Cal over offers from programs such as Washington, Texas A&M and Oregon State. Cal initially offered him a scholarship back in April.
Caminong is now the top-ranked prospect in Cal’s 2024 recruiting class. Overall, the Golden Bears now have 9 commits this cycle. The group sits at No. 63 in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
