Aaron Rodgers, former Cal QB, helped off field in New York Jets debut
Aaron Rodgers suffered an apparent ankle/lower leg injury on the first drive of his New York Jets debut Monday night. Per the broadcast, he is questionable to return.
Rodgers was brought down for a sack to start out after the Bills punted to start the game. He first attempted to stay up but later sat down and had to be helped off the field, though it looked like he was putting some weight on it.

Zach Wilson, who started for the Jets before being benched last season, is in the game in his place.
It’s hard for the Rodgers era to have started out much worse if you’re a New York Jets fan. The Jets have had QB woes for most of their recent history, and Rodgers was brought in to fix just that. If this is serious, New York could be in some serious trouble.
In the 2nd quarter the Jets announced that Rodgers has been ruled out for the remainder of the game. His X-rays came back negative, but the worry now is Achilles-related.
