Arizona basketball held its local media day on Tuesday. Coach Tommy Lloyd met with reporters to recap how the summer and start of fall have gone for his Wildcats, and where they’re at less than a month away from the start of the 2022-23 season.

The Wildcats are the hunted again in the Pac-12 after claiming both the regular-season and conference tournament crowns last season. They have to replace some key pieces from last year’s team, but Arizona certainly isn’t lacking in the talent department heading into the year.

That’s not the case. But I’m excited. I’m always excited about the journey for each individual team.”

Lloyd talked about expectations for jumps from Oumar Ballo and Adama Bal as they step into bigger roles. He talked about expectations for Pelle Larsson — the reigning Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year — and for former 5-star guard Kylan Boswell.
