Talented 2023 defensive lineman locks in official visits to Arizona, Oregon, and Utah
Kelze Howard, a 4-star defensive lineman from Nevada in the Class of 2023, has locked in four of his official visits.
This summer, he’ll take three of those visits to Pac-12 schools. On June 2, he’ll be in Tucson to see Jedd Fisch and the Arizona Wildcats. The following week, he’ll travel to Eugene to meet with Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks. On June 23, he’ll make his way to Salt Lake City to see Kyle Whittingham and the Utah Utes.
AGTG‼️ I would like to thank these four schools for officially inviting me to further my football career at their campus. At 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, Howard is an intriguing prospect with a burgeoning résumé. He plays four sports for his Las Vegas high school, Spring Valley. Howard is one of the top wrestlers in the state of Nevada in addition to his work on the basketball team and the track squad.
He’s rated as a 3-star prospect in the industry-generated 247 Composite, but 247Sports’ own evaluators have Howard tabbed as a 4-star and the 19th-best defensive lineman in his class. On 247Sports’ board, he’s a top-150 prospect in the class. Howard has offers from seven Pac-12 schools in addition to interest from the likes of Nebraska, Miami, and Michigan.
Howard told 247Sports’ Greg Biggins he hopes to announce his commitment prior to his senior season, either in July or August. As a junior, Howard had nine tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and a pair of fumble recoveries.
