Rob Gronkowski to serve as Arizona's honorary captain vs. USC
Rob Gronkowski is coming back to Tucson.
Gronk will serve as Arizona’s honorary captain for Saturday’s Homecoming game against USC. The former Arizona tight end and four-time Super Bowl champion will be making his first trip back to Arizona Stadium since coaching the Red Team in the 2021 spring game.

The Wildcats should see if Gronk can suit up for the game. With the Trojans bringing a 40-points-per-game offense to town and a 6-1 record, it figures to be another shootout.
At Arizona, Gronkowski was a touchdown machine during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. He recorded 75 receptions for 1,197 yards and 16 touchdowns. Gronk was a third-team AP All-American in 2008 and a first-team All-Pac-10 selection at tight end.
He was also a Freshman All-American in 2007. He set single-game, season, and career records for receptions, yards, and touchdowns by an Arizona tight end.
Kickoff between the Wildcats and Trojans is set for 4 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Network.
