It’s possible Jedd Fisch has landed another verbal pledge from someone by the time you read this. Arizona is hotter than hot on the recruiting trail right now, landing four commitments since lunchtime on Friday.

The Wildcats double-dipped on Friday with commitments from Walnut Creek (Calif.) Las Lomas cornerback Emmanuel Karnley and Corona (Calif.) Centennial wideout Malachi Riley. Saturday afternoon, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman wideout Trech Kekahuna, a 3-star and former Wisconsin commit, announced his pledge to Arizona at halftime of the GEICO State Champions Bowl Series.

The fourth and final member to jump in the boat came via the transfer portal: former Cal linebacker Orin Patu.

Well, maybe not final.

UA quarterback Jayden de Laura chimed in saying the Wildcats weren’t done.

Starting with Arizona’s newest transfer defender, Patu comes to Tucson after four seasons with the Golden Bears. The 6-foot-4, 235-pounder appeared in 26 games for Cal, logging 13 tackles in limited action. He’s also the second portal pickup from the UC system, joining ex-UCLA defensive lineman Tyler Manoa.

The 5-foot-11 Kekahuna is a 3-star prospect in the industry-generated 247 Composite. He ranks as the 103rd receiver in the 2023 class and the sixth-best prospect from the state of Nevada.

Riley, a 6-foot-2 receiver, also rates as a 3-star in the 247 Composite. He’s the 84th-ranked receiver in the class.

The 6-foot-3 Karnley is a 3-star defensive back with some serious length, ranking as the 84th-best corner in the class.

As the Early Signing Period approaches (Wednesday), Arizona’s 2023 class stands at 21 known commits.
