Oumar Ballo had the most polite trash talk you’ll hear for Stanford after he and the Arizona Wildcats knocked the Cardinal out of the Pac-12 Tournament on Thursday.

Ballo scored a game-high 24 points. He was the driving force behind an offensive attack that shot 64% from the field and scored 54 points in the paint. It was one of the best offensive games of the season for the recently-minted Most Improved Player in the Pac-12.

And when he joined the desk for the Pac-12 Network’s postgame show, he had one more dunk to get off.

“I hope they can go home, relax and study some science,” Ballo said. “Enjoy your vacation.”

A year ago this time, Stanford gave the top-seeded Wildcats all they could handle in the Pac-12 Tournament. Spencer Jones caught fire from the field and nearly shot the Cardinal to an upset win over the Wildcats.

Then, last month, Stanford ended what was a seven-game winning streak for the then-No. 4 Wildcats.

It certainly makes sense why this Arizona squad would be a little pleased to send the Cardinal home.

Arizona will look to keep it rolling on Friday against either Arizona State or USC. Tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m. PT.
