Jedd Fisch and Arizona will face a unique playing environment when they travel to Mississippi State for the 1st time in program history.

The Bulldogs won last year’s game, 39-17, in Tuscon in the 2 teams’ 1st-ever meeting on the gridiron. This year, the scene shifts to Starkville and Davis Wade Stadium, where Mississippi State’s fans will be ringing their infamous cowbells all day long (with some limitations, of course).

It will prove to be a bit unsettling, but Fisch and his staff will look to simulate it as much as possible by playing cowbell sounds in practice leading up to the game, he said on Monday.

“I know they’re going to be loud. They’re gonna be something we need to be aware of. We’ll have some cowbells piped in this week, and we’re gonna look forward to the energy that an SEC game brings,” Fisch said.

Kickoff from Davis Wade Stadium is set for 4:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on the SEC Network. Both teams are 1-0; Arizona defeated Northern Arizona 38-3 in its season opener, while Mississippi State topped Southeastern Louisiana 48-7 to start its campaign.
