Former Arizona WR Stanley Berryhill has been suspended for the first 6 games of the 2023 NFL season. Berryhill is part of a group of 5 players the NFL is suspending for gambling violations.

Berryhill’s Detroit Lions teammates Jameson Williams, Quintez Cephus and C.J. Moore are in the group, along with Shaka Toney of the Washington Commanders. Williams and Berryhill are each suspended 6 games for making non-NFL bets in the team facility. The other 3 players are facing season-long suspensions for betting on NFL games.

After being named first-team All-Pac-12 in 2021 to end his Arizona career, Berryhill went undrafted in 2022. He spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and Arizona Cardinals before landing on the Lions practice squad on Oct. 19, 2022. He made 4 appearances during the 2022 season, not recording any statistics.

Berryhill is eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason activities, including preseason games.
