Fall already? Arizona triumphs over No. 4 Stanford in high-scoring affair
No, Stanford didn’t miss the extra point attempt.
In one of the craziest games of the Pac-12 season, Arizona baseball won a thriller of a baseball game over No. 4 Stanford Sunday afternoon, taking home the W in extras, 21-20.
And it’s not like both teams got their runs in in extra innings, either. The 2 were tied at 18 at the end of the 9th frame. In the end, a 3-run blast from Emilia Corona put the Wildcats over the top.

That’s a huge win for the Wildcats, who avoided the sweep against the Cardinal and picked up their 2nd top 5 win of the season. Arizona downed No. 2 Tennessee in the first game of the season. The Wildcats also picked up a nice win over No. 19 Arizona State in mid-April.
Next up for Arizona is the regular season series finale against USC, followed by the Pac-12 tournament which is set to start on May 23.
