Arizona wins on the road at Duke in top-15 showdown
Arizona defeated Duke 78-73 on the road inside Cameron Indoor Stadium on Friday night.
The victory is a landmark win for Tommy Lloyd and the Wildcats. Duke entered this game ranked No. 2 nationally and has is loaded with elite talent at virtually every position.
Arizona was led by forward Keshad Johnson, who had a team-best 14 points and 8 rebounds in the win. Five different Wildcats scored in double figures in this game.
Caleb Love, who has plenty of experience playing in this building, chipped in 11 points on the night. Love had his struggles throughout the game, but he did hit four crucial free throws in the game’s final stages to help secure the win.
This is a win that could be a résumé-maker for the Wildcats if they’re in the mix for a top in the NCAA Tournament at the end of the regular season. The Wildcats are one of the favorites in the Pac-12 again this season.
Arizona is now 6-4 all-time against the Blue Devils.
The Wildcats will be in action again on Monday as they host Southern.
