Arizona vs. Washington State: TV info, betting odds, and score predictions
Arizona threatened to pull off an upset at home against Washington two weeks ago. Then it got even closer to a top-10 takedown last Saturday against USC. In Week 7, the Wildcats head to Pullman to face No. 19 Washington State, in search of a win to keep its bowl hopes alive.
The Cougs (4-1, 1-1 Pac-12) are looking to rebound from a 25-17 loss to UCLA in Pasadena a week ago. The Bruins’ top-ranked defense grounded the high-flying Cougar offense and effectively limited Cameron Ward. The star Wazzu quarterback was held to 19-of-39 passing with a pair of interceptions and three sacks.
But the Wildcats (3-3, 1-2 Pac-12) might not be the best defense to face for a quarterback in search of a “get right” game. They held Washington to a season-low for points and yards two weeks ago, then held USC’s Caleb Williams to 14 completions and 205 passing yards last week in a 43-41 triple-overtime loss.
The status of Arizona quarterback Jayden de Laura is one to watch. He’s expected to be a gametime decision in his first game back in Pullman since leaving Washington State. Last season against the Cougs, de Laura was picked off four times in a loss. It’ll either be him or Noah Fifita leading the charge for the UA.

Score predictions
ESPN’s FPI gives Washington State a 62.4% chance to beat the Wildcats.
Bill Connelly’s SP+ projects a 33-26 Washington State win.
Saturday Out West’s Jon Gold predicted a 31-28 Washington State win:
While Arizona contemplates playing the hot hand, the Cougars are trying to heat up themselves. UCLA took a bite out of them last week with a dominant defensive performance, including 4 turnovers and 5 sacks.
Saturday Out West’s Derek Peterson picked Washington State:
Washington State faced a defense last week at UCLA that has claim to the title of “best in the country.” Arizona is improved on that side of the football, but not to that degree. Whether its Noah Fifita or Jayden de Laura at quarterback for Arizona, I think they’ll have to chase this game a bit. Washington State enjoys the home cooking and Cameron Ward finds his groove again.
