Arizona appears to be in a good spot for 4-star quarterback and in-state prospect Demond Williams.

Williams decommitted from Ole Miss on Friday evening. He had been committed to the Rebels since December of 2022.

Despite that pledge to Ole Miss, Arizona never backed off of Williams’ recruitment. He’s been a longtime target for the Wildcats.

On Friday evening , four 247Sports’ experts filed Crystal Ball projections for the Arizona native to flip to the Wildcats. 247Sports director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong is amongst that group of experts.

He would be a major addition for Arizona. Williams is the No. 299 overall player and the No. 16 quarterback in the country for this class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 5 player from the state of Arizona.

Williams attends Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona. He’s listed at 5-foot-11, 180 pounds.

Arizona has been building momentum on the recruiting trail in recent months. The Wildcats picked up a commitment from 5-star EDGE Elijah Rushing earlier this week. Overall, Arizona has 18 commits in the class of 2024.
