Arizona learns tip times, TV selections for pair of Big Ten games in 2023-24
Arizona saw two of its nonconference games for the upcoming season receive tip times and TV designations on Tuesday when the Big Ten conference announced its 2023-24 TV schedule.
The Wildcats will face Michigan State on Thursday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m. PT on FOX. That game is set to take place at Acrisure Arena near Palm Springs, California.
Arizona will also face Purdue on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 1:30 p.m. PT on Peacock.
The Dec. 9 game against Wisconsin at McKale does not yet have a tip time.
Arizona held its annual Red-Blue showcase last Friday. It’ll host an exhibition game against Lewis-Clark State on October 20 before opening the new season on Nov. 6 against Morgan State.
In Tommy Lloyd’s second season, the UA went 28-7. Arizona earned a 2-seed in the NCAA Tournament after winning the Pac-12 Tournament championship for a second consecutive year, but it bowed out of the NCAA tourney in the first round.
“Every night I lay my head on that pillow I think about bringing you guys that championship we all want and deserve. I know it ain’t gonna be easy but I didn’t ask for it easy,” Lloyd said Friday night. “We had a great first two years and we had a tough last game. But that last game is gonna be the greatest gift that’s ever been given to me in coaching.”
