Arizona lands transfer pledge from offensive lineman out of the Big Ten
Arizona has landed a commitment from Northwestern transfer offensive lineman Alex Doost.
The 6-foot-7, 295-pound lineman is returning home after one season in Illinois. A Phoenix native, Doost signed with Northwestern as a 3-star recruit and redshirted his first year. He comes to Arizona with four years of eligibility still to use.

Doost played at Glendale’s Mountain Ridge, where he was ranked as the 17th-best prospect in the state and the 87th overall interior offensive lineman in the class, per the industry-generated 247 Composite.
Arizona recruited him out of high school, as did Arizona State, Utah, Cal, and several other Pac-12 programs.
With the Wildcats set to return four starters along the offensive line in 2024, Doost will look to compete for a spot on the two-deep. He’s the fourth known transfer commitment for the UA so far during the winter window, joining defensive lineman Chubba Ma’ae (UC Davis), cornerback Jordan Shaw (Indiana), and safety Jack Luttrell (Tennessee).
