Arizona is working on the 2024 recruiting class, and the Wildcats landed a key in-state prospect Monday.

The player is Demond Williams Jr., a 4-star quarterback and one of the top players out of Arizona for the cycle. Williams was previously committed to Ole Miss until July.

After reopening his recruitment, Williams finally landed on the Wildcats heading into August. He also generated offers from Arizona State, Auburn, Colorado, Iowa State, Oregon, UCLA and Utah among others.

Williams is listed at 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds out of Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona. According to the 247 Sports Composite, Williams is the 16th QB in the country and the No. 4 player out of the state for the cycle.

Impact for Arizona

After adding Williams, Arizona now holds commitments from 2 of the top 4 in-state prospects for the class of 2024. The Wildcats already hold a pledge from 5-star Edge Elijah Rushing, the top player in the state for the class.

Jedd Fisch’s program now holds 19 commitments for the cycle in a group that ranks 33rd nationally per the 247 Sports Team Composite.
