One day after a Territorial Cup win, Arizona landed another in-state win.

According to multiple reports, the Wildcats have scored a verbal commitment from 2023 Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton linebacker Taye Brown. There doesn’t appear to have been a public announcement from Brown as of publication, but the linebacker has updated his Twitter bio to read, simply, “LB @ArizonaFball.”

Brown chose the Wildcats over offers from Kansas State, San Diego State, Air Force, Idaho, Idaho State, and New Mexico State. The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder was on campus for Arizona’s win over North Dakota State, and he took official visits to both Kansas State and San Diego State during the season.

He doesn’t yet have a rating in the industry-generated 247 Composite, though that will likely change in the near future with his addition to a Power Five class. In 247’s own rankings, he’s a 3-star prospect and the 32nd-ranked recruit from the state of Arizona.

According to MaxPreps, Brown has 91 tackles, 10 sacks, two interceptions, and two pass breakups for Hamilton this season.

Brown’s verbal pledge gives Arizona its 20th known commitment for the 2023 cycle. You can see his highlight tape below, via Hudl:
