Arizona football landed a big commitment Friday afternoon.

Rahim Wright, a 3-star athlete out of Rancho Cucamonga, California, announced that he would play for the Wildcats next season.

Standing at 6-foot, 175 pounds, Wright will bring speed and athleticism to Arizona’s roster and will give the Wildcats a chance to find a right fit for him position wise. Wright is considered to be a 3-star by 247Sports composite and is the No. 128 athlete nationally.

Wright was originally committed to play for San Diego State, which is just south of his hometown, but pulled his commitment on Thursday. A day later, he announced his commitment to Arizona.

The Wildcats currently sit at 3-2 with losses to Mississippi State and Washington. Last week, Arizona fell just short of an upset over the Huskies.

Arizona seems to be making strides as a program, and landing another standout player like Wright will certainly help them get over the hump.
