Arizona has landed a commitment from Mission Viejo (Calif.) High specialist Michael Salgado-Medina.

A 6-foot-2 prospect out of the 2024 class, Salgado-Medina revealed he’d been extended an offer by coach Jedd Fisch earlier this week. He also reported an offer from Air Force. Following the spring, Arizona has just three specialists listed on its roster — two of whom are seniors. Punter Kyle Ostendorp and kicker Tyler Loop are both approaching the ends of their Arizona careers, and Salgado-Medina looks like a potential replacement for either.

Kohl’s Kicking has Salgado-Medina ranked as the No. 15 kicker in the 2024 class and the No. 6 punter.

He went 12-for-14 on his field goal attempts as a junior last fall and 67-of-68 on his extra points. His long was 49 yards. He also recorded 46 touchbacks while serving as his team’s kickoff man.

He becomes Arizona’s seventh known commitment in the 2024 class.  You can view his highlight tape below, via Hudl:
