Arizona added to its 2024 class on Saturday with a commitment from Carlsbad (Calif.) linebacker Luke Ferrelli.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound defender held FBS offers from Air Force, Army, Nevada, San Jose State, UNLV, and Utah State, in addition to the Wildcats. Ferrelli looks like the kind of athlete who could play inside or outside, but told 247Sports’ Greg Biggins the UA staff views him as a hybrid ‘backer with responsibilities in both the run and pass game.

As a junior last fall, Ferrelli recorded 73 tackles, 13.5 for loss, five pass breakups, three sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery he returned 57 yards for a touchdown. He also caught three passes for 50 yards and a touchdown on the offensive side of the ball and returned three kickoffs.

Ferrelli is rated as a 3-star prospect by 247Sports. He doesn’t yet have a score in the industry-generated 247 Composite, though that’ll likely change in the near future. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 112 linebacker in the class.

He becomes the fifth known commitment to Arizona’s 2024 class. You can view Ferrelli’s highlight tape below, via Hudl:
