An official visit to Tucson sealed the deal for Solomon Davis.

The 2023 3-star athlete announced his commitment to the Wildcats on Wednesday. He told 247Sports’ Greg Biggins his plan was to take a few more officials before making a decision, but ultimately Arizona felt like the place to be.

“I knew Arizona is where I belonged,” Davis told 247Sports. “I had a great trip and was already leaning towards Arizona even before the visit. I love the coaching staff there and have a strong connection with (DB coach DeWayne) Walker and (head coach Jedd) Fisch.”

A 6-foot, 183-pounder from Covina (Calif.) Charter Oak, Davis rates as the 625th player in the 2023 class, per the 247 Composite. He’s the 53rd-ranked athlete and the 51st-ranked prospect from the state of California. He’s a legitimate two-way option, but it appears he’ll focus on corner with the Wildcats to start.

On the same day, Arizona also earned a commitment from 3-star Honolulu (Hawaii) St Louis edge Julian Savaiinaea. The 6-foot-3, 241-pounder is the brother of freshman offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea.

The pair of pledges bring the Arizona class to 14 now. The Wildcats have been remarkably efficient with their efforts during the month of June, with 10 of the 14 commitments coming in the last three weeks.
