Arizona is 7-3 on the season after beating Colorado 34-31 in Boulder on Saturday.

It’s the program’s best 10-game start to a season since 2017. It’s also the first four-game winning streak for the program since 2019. Arizona remained alive in the Pac-12 title discussion, if only just, thanks to a walk-off 24-yard field goal from Tyler Loop.

Arizona outscored Colorado 10-0 in the fourth quarter on the road. The very first play of the final frame was a 7-yard touchdown run from DJ Williams to cap off a 75-yard drive and tie the game.

Arizona and Colorado traded punts on the next four possessions. Colorado missed a field goal with 4:57 to play and handed the ball over to the Wildcats at their own 26.

Quarterback Noah Fifita then engineered an 11-play, 67-yard drive that got Arizona down inside the CU 5. The Drive began with 21 and 24-yard runs from Jonah Coleman — who finished with 179 rushing yards on 11 carries. Fifita hit passes of 6, 10, 2, and 5 yards on the drive to push the UA down to the 1-yard-line.

From there, with Colorado out of timeouts, Arizona played it safe and set up an easy chip-shot field goal for Loop in the middle of the field.

He knocked it through to keep Arizona alive in the title race.
