Arizona adds commitment from transfer safety, Tucson native
Arizona added transfer safety Cruz Rushing to its roster on Friday.
Rushing spent the 1st season of his collegiate career at Florida as a walk-on. After 1 year in Gainesville, the Tucson native is returning to play for his hometown Wildcats.

Rushing was a member of the class of 2023 and attended Salpointe Catholic in Tucson. He was the No. 167 safety in the class, per 247Sports.
Notably, his younger brother is 2024 5-star prospect Elijah Rushing. He also attends Salpointe Catholic and is a top target for the Wildcats in that cycle. The younger Rushing is the No. 16 overall player and the No. 3 EDGE in the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
