After a 2-0 start to the season, Arizona moved up three spots in the latest AP Top 25.

The first regular-season media poll dropped Monday, and Arizona checked in at No. 14. The Wildcats are one of only two Pac-12 teams in the early-season rankings. UCLA remained in the same spot it was in the preseason — at No. 8. After a shocking home loss to UC Irvine, Oregon dropped out of the poll. Both the Ducks and Colorado Buffaloes are in the receiving votes category. (The full AP Top 25 can be seen below.)

The Wildcats opened Year 2 under coach Tommy Lloyd with a 117-75 win over Nicholls. Azuolas Tubelis scored 23 points in the effort, Oumar Ballo added 18, and two others scored in double figures.

Arizona followed that win up with a 95-78 win over Southern last Friday. Kerr Kriisa recorded just the 11th triple-double in program history, and set a high-water mark for assists in a single game by a Wildcat (12) since Mustafa Shakur had 12 against Stanford in 2006.

The Wildcats return to the court on Thursday for their only game of the week — a 6 p.m. PT tip against Utah Tech on the Pac-12 Network.
