Kenny Dillingham was asked about the Arizona State quarterback battle that’s been taking place this offseason. Dillingham’s thoughts on the matter were put on social media.

Before Notre Dame transfer Drew Pyne’s injury, it was between the former Fighting Irish QB and Florida transfer Jaden Rashada.

A recent report indicated that Rashada is likely to be QB1, however Dillingham stated that everything is on the table. Senior QB Trenton Bourguet is also reportedly in the mix.

There is no timetable for Pyne’s return with Week 1 on the horizon.

The Sun Devils HC noted that the decision on the starting quarterback will come down to the here and now. It will not be based on future seasons, according to Dillingham.

Pyne is the more experienced compared to Rashada. Pyne played in 17 games for Notre Dame during his time with the Fighting Irish. However, Dillingham stated recently that Rashada is continuing to make NFL throws.

Fans may have to wait a little while longer to see who Dillingham goes with at QB1.

Arizona State faces Southern Utah in the season opener on Aug. 31. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. PT.
