According to ESPN’s Joe Lunardi, Arizona State’s upset of USC in the Pac-12 Tournament quarterfinals on Thursday night has moved the Sun Devils into the NCAA Tournament’s Field of 68.

In Lunardi’s updated Bracketology report on Friday, Bobby Hurley’s Sun Devils have moved into the “Last Four In” column, alongside Rutgers, Pittsburgh and Utah State.

Sixth-seeded Arizona State knocked off 11th-seeded Oregon State, 63-57, in the 1st round of the tournament in Las Vegas on Wednesday night, then followed it up by getting a crucial 77-72 victory over the 3rd-seeded Trojans that most believed it needed to cement its status in the NCAA Tournament field.

Desmond Cambridge Jr. made 6 of Arizona State’s 14 3-pointers and scored 27 points in the victory over USC, which improved the Sun Devils’ record to 22-11.

Arizona State will try to further cement its NCAA Tournament status on Friday night, when it faces rival and 2nd-seeded Arizona in the Pac-12 Tournament semifinals.

Arizona State has already beaten Arizona this season, pulling off a miracle victory on a 60-foot shot at the buzzer by Cambridge on Feb. 25 in Tucson. That victory will undoubtedly prove instrumental in the Sun Devils’ drive to make the tournament field, but adding another victory over the Wildcats on Friday wouldn’t hurt, either.
