Former Arizona State assistant Robert Rodriguez lands spot on NFL coaching staff
Former Arizona State assistant Robert Rodriguez won’t have to move far for his new job. Rodriguez will reportedly be part of the Arizona Cardinals coaching staff.
Rodriguez will coach outside linebackers for the Cardinals, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Rodriguez was on ASU’s staff the past 3 seasons as the Sun Devils’ defensive line coach. He was hired by former head coach Herm Edwards in 2020 and remained through the 2022 season. In November, Rodriguez tweeted that he would be looking for another opportunity as new coach Kenny Dillingham opted to go in a new direction:
