Eno Benjamin had one of the catches of the preseason Saturday for the Arizona Cardinals.

Running backs aren’t supposed to be that acrobatic, but the former Arizona State Sun Devil went up to haul in a circus catch on the Cardinals’ opening possession against the Tennessee Titans. Quarterback Trace McSorely was a little behind Benjamin, but Benjamin absolutely laid out to haul in a 20-yard reception.

Benjamin also added three rushing yards on three carries over the course of the 12-play, 89-yard drive that chewed up 7:24 minutes of clock.

The Cardinals are closing out the preseason, but expect Benjamin to be part of the plans once the real games start. A seventh-round pick of the Cardinals in the 2020 NFL Draft, Benjamin ran the ball 34 times for 118 yards and one touchdown last season. He’s been the talk of the team this offseason.

“Early on I didn’t know if he could figure it out,” head coach Kliff Kingsbury said earlier this month, according to Cardinals team reporter Darren Urban. “Professionalism and work ethic and understanding his role and all those things. Each year he has just gotten progressively better. He’s one of the hardest workers on the team now. Always upbeat, always into it. Just really come a long way.”

Arizona opens the season on Sept. 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
