Bobby Hurley updated the injury status of freshman point guard Austin Nunez Wednesday morning. The Arizona State head coach noted that Nunez, who has been out with a concussion since February 18, is still not quite ready to return for Arizona State’s battle against Nevada Wednesday night in the First Four.

He did say that fans “could see him” this weekend if the Sun Devils knock off Nevada Wednesday night. The winner plays TCU on Friday at 7:05 PT/8:05 MT.

Nunez is not a starter for the Sun Devils, but is an important rotational player off the bench. He backs up Frankie Collins running point, and is a strong 3-point shooter.

Nunez played especially well early in the season prior to Pac-12 play. He totaled 15 points in a win against Michigan back on Nov. 17.
