Arizona State vs. Eastern Michigan: TV info, betting odds, and expert predictions
The Sun Devils enjoyed a 40-3 blowout victory of Northern Arizona in its season opener. A week later, it struggled with Oklahoma State on the road, dropping a 34-17 game to the Cowboys.
Many will struggle with the eighth-ranked Pokes this season, though. And Eastern Michigan (1-1) doesn’t quite provide the same level of competition.
The Eagles took a 14-0 lead into the halftime break a week ago against Lousiana, and then watched that lead evaporate. They got run off the field in the fourth quarter, giving up a 28-0 frame in a 49-21 loss. They’ve been shredded by the passing game, giving up nearly 8 yards per attempt and eight touchdowns so far.
ASU Quarterback Emory Jones — 375 yards, one touchdown, no picks through two — has a shot at really breaking out with his new Sun Devil teammates in this game.

Expert predictions
ESPN’s FPI gives ASU a 94.2% chance to win.
Bill Connelly’s SP+ predicts a 38-18 win for the Sun Devils.
247Sport’s Raymond Lucas Jr. has the Sun Devils winning:
If things go according to plan, the Sun Devils should be 2-1 after their first three games of the season — but that could be what causes ASU to slip in this game. It’s human nature to get excited about what’s to come, and, the second Arizona State’s schedule was unveiled, you can bet that the thought of playing Utah and USC in consecutive weeks was more exciting than hosting Eastern Michigan. If the Sun Devils don’t overlook the Eagles, ASU will prepare to host Utah in a rowdy environment.
CFN’s Pete Fiutak sees ASU winning 38-17:
Eastern Michigan has enough offense to be plucky, and Arizona State can’t just show up and think it’ll come up with a layup of a win, but this won’t get into the fourth quarter. Arizona State will need a little while to get going, but it’ll end up with over 250 yards on the ground with a few big plays, and the takeaways will come in the second half.
