Arizona State set to get key defensive lineman back vs. Oklahoma State
Arizona State freshman defensive lineman CJ Fite missed the opener last Thursday with an injury. But he appears set for a return to the field in ASU’s Week 2 contest with Oklahoma State.
During a radio appearance on 98.7 FM on Friday, coach Kenny Dillingham said Fite will play against the Cowboys on Saturday. The 6-foot-2 defensive lineman, according to Sun Devil Source, looked like one of the top options on the interior of the defensive line in camp.
Freshman DT CJ Fite will play tomorrow after missing the opener due to injury, Kenny Dillingham just said on 98.7 FM. Fite looked like one of the team’s best interior run stoppers in August.

Fite was a 3-star recruit in the 2023 class.
In the season-opening win over Southern Utah, ASU rotated in nine different defensive linemen. BJ Green, Tristan Monday, Dashaun Mallory, and Clayton Smith started in the opener and held the top spots once again on the team’s Week 2 depth chart.
Fite sits in the No. 2 defensive tackle spot behind Mallory on this week’s depth chart.
Saturday’s game against Oklahoma State is set for a 7:30 p.m. PT kick on FS1.
