Isaia Glass has officially beaten out Emmit Bohle for the left tackle spot. Bohle transferred to ASU this offseason looking to win a starting job, but has been limited at practice during fall camp because of injury. Glass, a true sophomore who appeared in six games last season, will draw his first start.
San Diego State transfer Chris Martinez and Iowa State transfer Joey Ramos appear to still be battling for the outright starting spot at right guard. On the two-deep, Martinez and Ramos have the two letters players don’t like seeing next to their name — “OR.”
Martinez started all 14 games for an Aztec team that went 12-2 last season. Ramos played in 33 games for the Cyclones during his time in Ames, Iowa.
Penn State transfer Des Holmes has locked up the right tackle spot after a strong camp.
