Over the weekend, Arizona State held its spring game and the NCAA transfer portal opened for undergraduate entry. A number of Sun Devils are looking to continue their college football careers elsewhere.

ASU QB Bennett Meredith is the latest player to announce his departure for the transfer portal. Earlier Monday, 4 linemen made portal announcements.

In a note posted to Twitter, Bennett thanked ASU for the best year of his life. He acknowledged former head coach Herm Edwards and offensive coordinator Zak Hill for giving him the opportunity to be a Sun Devil.

Meredith’s bio shows no statistics for the 2022 season. As a redshirt freshman, he will have 4 remaining seasons of college football eligibility.

Out of Hoover (Alabama), Meredith was rated 3-stars and the No. 70 quarterback of the 2022 recruiting class on the 247Sports Composite. He picked up 8 scholarship offers during his recruitment, visiting ASU and Maryland.
