Arizona State picked up another piece of the 2024 recruiting class Saturday, landing a commitment from an in-state athlete.

The player is Dylan Tapley, a 6-foot-4 and 205-pound ATH out of Scottsdale. Tapley has been a two-way star for Desert Mountain High School and generated offers from Arizona, Oregon, Kansas, Iowa State and Colorado State prior to his commitment.

In the end, Kenny Dillingham’s Sun Devil program won out for Tapley. “Sun Devil Nation, I’m staying home,” Tapley wrote in his announcement:

Tapley gives Arizona State a third commitment in the 2024 recruiting cycle. He’s the first in-state prospect to commit for the cycle.

According to the 247 Sports Composite, Tapley is a 3-star recruit and the 11th overall player in Arizona. He’s also rated as the No. 50 ATH nationally for the 2024 recruiting class.
