Arizona State guard Luther Muhammad is entering the transfer portal, according to a report.

On3’s Jamie Shaw was 1st to share that news on Thursday morning. Muhammad just finished his 3rd season with the Sun Devils.

This would be Muhammad’s 2nd transfer of his career. He began his career at Ohio State before joining the Sun Devils prior to the start of the 2020-21 season.

Muhammad was a starter with the Buckeyes before making the move to Arizona State. However, he missed the 2020-21 season with a shoulder injury and has not statistically progressed since his time with the Buckeyes. After being a solid 3-point shooter with Ohio State, he has shot just 20% from 3-point range during his time at Arizona State.

Muhammad’s role decreased this past season with Arizona State. He played a career-low 9.9 minutes per game and started just 1 of Arizona State’s 36 contests this past season.

Although Muhammad’s role took a step back, Arizona State was a better team in 2022-23. The Sun Devils made the NCAA Tournament this season for the 1st time since 2019.

Muhammad will have 1 year of eligibility remaining at his next program.
