Arizona State guard DJ Horne is planning to enter the transfer portal, according to a report.

On3’s Joe Tipton was 1st to report that news on Friday afternoon. Horne started 62 games for the Sun Devils over the past 2 seasons.

Horne has 1 year of eligibility remaining. Prior to spending these past 2 years with Arizona State, he began his collegiate career at Illinois State.

Horne helped lead Arizona State to the NCAA Tournament this season. He averaged 12.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest in 2022-23. Horne also made 35.5% of his 3-point attempts on a volume of 5.8 tries per game.

It’s a big loss for an Arizona State team that has already lost multiple players to the transfer portal this offseason.

Arizona State extended coach Bobby Hurley’s contract earlier this week. Hurley, who just finished his 8th season with the program, has led Arizona State to 3 NCAA Tournaments. The Sun Devils have been a No. 11 seed each time.
