Arizona State loses All-Pac-12 first-team player to the NCAA transfer portal
Arizona State punter Eddie Czaplicki was named the first-team All-Pac-12 punter this week after a strong 2022 season.
But it appears his 2023 season may come with a team other than the Sun Devils, per a tweet from Czaplicki on Wednesday.
As you can see below, as Arizona State transitions from Herm Edwards to Kenny Dillingham as head coach, Czaplicki is exploring his transfer options in the portal:
First off, I want to thank Arizona State University, Coach Slocum, and Coach Edwards for the opportunity and their help in my growth as a student athlete.
With that being said, I have officially entered the transfer portal. Excited to get to work! pic.twitter.com/J8zhTGxqyG

Czaplicki appeared in all 12 games for Arizona State in 2022, punting 49 times. He averaged 46.1 yards on those punts to lead the Pac-12.
As one of the top punters in the Pac-12 and the FBS ranks, in general, Czaplicki figures to draw plenty of interest in the portal. We’ll see where he ends up punting in 2023.
