Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham said the Sun Devils would build through the transfer portal, and build they have.

The Sun Devils continued to add to a deep and talented transfer class on Sunday when former Cal offensive lineman Ben Scott and former Washington State linebacker Travion Brown announced in a joint message shared to social media that they’re teaming up at ASU. The two were high school teammates at Temecula (Calif.) Linfield Christian School.

Coleman should immediately help an ASU offensive line that has been hit hard since the 2022 season ended. He figures to be a plug-and-play option to replace the departed LaDarius Henderson — a two-year starter at left guard who is now at Michigan. The 6-foot-4, 330-pound guard made 22 starts over the last two seasons, 16 at left guard and six at left tackle.

He’ll have two seasons of eligibility.

Brown will have two seasons to play one for ASU. In four years with the Cougars, the 6-foot-3, 230-pounder stuffed the stat sheet. He totaled 119 career tackles, seven tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and an interception in 39 appearances. He had five TFLs and 1.5 sacks for the Cougs this season.

ASU currently has 14 transfer commitments in the 2023 class.
