One of the highest-rated prospects from the state of Arizona in the 2021 class initially chose to go to school at Oregon. Bram Walden began his career with Mario Cristobal and the Ducks only to see Cristobal hit the exit after Walden’s first season, to be replaced by Dan Lanning and Kenny Dillingham.

It would appear Walden enjoyed playing for Dillingham. Walden announced on Monday he intends to transfer to Arizona State, reuniting with Dillingham in the Valley. Walden will have three years of eligibility with ASU.

Walden is a former 4-star prospect and the second-ranked recruit from the state of Arizona in the 2021 class.

He dealt with a knee injury during his two-year UO career, redshirting as a true freshman in 2021. He saw action this season twice, appearing in blowout wins over Cal and Colorado.

A 6-foot-4, 305-pound offensive tackle from Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro, Walden is the fourth transfer pickup along the offensive line for Dillingham so far this offseason. He’s joined by Aaron Frost (Nevada), Ben Coleman (California), and Leif Fautanu (UNLV).

Walden’s ties to the ASU staff extend beyond Dillingham, too. He played under newly-hired tight ends coach Jason Mohns in high school when Saguaro won state titles in 2017 and 2018.

A versatile offensive lineman, Walden can move around a bit up front but entered the college ranks as a left tackle. He ranked as the 10th-best tackle prospect in the 2021 class and the 85th-ranked overall recruit in the cycle, according to the 247 Composite.

The Sun Devils have 18 known transfer commitments with Walden’s pledge.
