The Sun Devils suddenly need to find a new center.

A multi-year starter on the Arizona State offensive line, third-year sophomore center Dohnovan West officially declared for the 2022 NFL Draft on Monday. He had another two seasons of eligibility, but after a second-team All-Pac-12 selection this season, he’ll look to make the jump to the league now.

“At a very young age I found the game of football. From the very first time I stepped on the field, my dream has been to be able to play in the NFL,” he wrote. “These past three years here at Arizona State University have been a blessing and I will forever cherish the times I’ve had.”

West moved to center this season after starting primarily at guard for the Sun Devils prior. As a true freshman in 2019, he started all 13 games and earned Pac-12 honorable mention honors. The following year, he was a first-team all-conference selection.
