Arizona State dipped into the transfer portal Wednesday to earn a commitment from former Houston Christian guard Brycen Long.

Long, who has played with the Huskies for the past 3 seasons, is one of the top 3-point shooters in the portal and a lethal offensive weapon that should aid the Sun Devils well in 2024. In 2023, Long averaged 14.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

The 6-2 guard started all 29 games Houston Christian played last season.

Arizona State is going to look quite different next season. The Sun Devils have seen 6 transfer commitments enter the fray since the portal opened, including Long, LSU transfer Adam Miller, San Francisco transfer Zane Meeks,  Louisville transfer Kamari Lands and LSU transfer Shawn Phillips.

But the transfer door swings both ways. ASU has also lost DJ Horne, Austin Nunez, Devan Cambridge, Enoch Boakye and a few more players to the portal.
