Arizona State adds transfer commitment from former Austin Peay cornerback
Former Austin Peay cornerback Demetries Ford announced Monday that he will be transferring to Arizona State after 2 seasons with the Governors. Ford previously played at Youngstown State before heading to Clarksville, TN to play for Austin Peay.
Ford, who stands at 5-8, played well last season for the Governors after not playing much earlier in his career. He totaled 33 tackles, adding a sack, a fumble recovery, 16 PBUs (4th most in FCS) and 3 interceptions to a solid 2022 campaign.
He made his announcement to transfer to Arizona State Monday evening via Twitter:

This is Arizona State’s 11th transfer addition of the 2023 calendar year. He follows former Austin Peay Safety Shamari Simmons, who transferred to Arizona State back in January.
