Arizona State’s recruiting department is making commitment graphics left and right at this point. Since Sunday, the Sun Devils have added public commitments from nine different players.

Seven of those came on Sunday, when ASU saw a flurry of activity as recruits — both high school and transfer — are in town to get a glimpse at what new head coach Kenny Dillingham is building in Tempe. Things slowed on Monday, but ASU did pick up a transfer commitment at the most important position.

Former Notre Dame starter Drew Pyne announced his transfer to ASU.

Pyne started 10 games for Notre Dame this season, stepping in as the leading man when Tyler Buchner went down with injury. The 5-foot-11 Pyne led Notre Dame to an 8-2 record over his 10 games as the starter. He completed 65% of his passes for 2,021 yards, 22 touchdowns, and six interceptions while averaging 8 yards per attempt.

He’ll have three seasons of eligibility to use with the Sun Devils.

According to Sun Devil Source, ASU is expected to return Trenton Bourguet. It has also added former BYU quarterback Jacob Conover via the transfer portal. The room will also potentially include Daylin McLemore, Bennett Meredith, and prospective 2023 signee Israel Carter.

Other players who have committed to ASU since Sunday:

  • OL Ben Coleman (transfer; Cal)
  • LB Travion Brown (transfer; Washington State)
  • Edge Prince Dorbah (transfer; Texas)
  • Edge Elijah O’Neal (JUCO)
