Arizona State adds 2024 commitment from ATH out of California
Arizona State picked up a new commitment for its 2024 recruiting class on Saturday. An ATH prospect out of California has decided that Tempe, Arizona is home.
Sire Gaines is the newest verbal pledge for the Sun Devils. Gaines announced the big news on social media.

A standout at Orange Vista High School in Perris, California, Gaines is listed as measuring 6-feet, 193 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Gaines is rated 3-stars, the No. 66 California recruit, No. 94 ATH and No. 903 prospect overall in the Class of 2024. Gaines picked up 10 scholarship offers, electing to visit Arizona State, Washington State, Boise State and San Diego State.
ATH is used for multi-position 2-way prospects. Gaines’ future appears to be on defense. He was recruited to ASU by Sun Devils linebackers coach AJ Cooper and defensive coordinator Brian Ward.
